Committee Work is one of the central activities of a session. All committees have been assigned a different topic, which varies from the situation in the Middle East to agriculture, international trade and climate change. The goal is to write a resolution on this topic. Consensus plays an important role in this process and it is a big challenge for the newly-formed team to reach a compromise. The committee has at least 22 hours for this, and in the programme we have reserved three days for Committee Work. The chairperson once again plays an important role and chairs the discussions. He or she makes sure that all members of the committee can express their opinion. These ideas are put together and the end result of Committee Work is a resolution, which will be presented during the General Assembly.
